Now is Good (2012)

Now is good is a must see for 2012. It follows an extremely emotional journey of a regular teenage girl called Tessa (Dakota Fanning), who has the misfortune to be diagnosed with leukemia. She compiles a list of things she wants to do before she dies. This list involves a few sensitive points such as the use of drugs and losing her virginity. It provides an empowering insight to a world which one can only sum up in the word 'cancer'. Dakota Fanning does portray Tessa well however there are a few negative aspects of her performance such as the unrealistic english accent. Unfortunatly her performance lacked conviction and failed to impress. The high-light of the film has to be the amazing interpretation of Tessa's love interest, Adam (Jeremy Irvine). Irvine has developed dramatically as an actor since his 'War Horse' days, and shows much promise in the newly released 'Great Expectations'. This film although lacking in some areas does keep the audience interested in the emotional journey implied. Tissues will be required for some.
