Masterpiece set in ancient Japan about a bandit accused of killing a merchant, though there are wildly different accounts of the incident.

truth and suspicions are explored in this fantastic masterpiece. a bandit is accused of killing a merchant but some suspect it was the merchant's wife. or could it possibly be both of them? everybody is giving a different account of what they saw so when is the truth going to be revealed? the cinematography, acting and plot twists are all superb. this film cannot get any better than it actually is. simply unmissable
