The horror of the Holocaust is brought sensitively to life in this harrowing but essential true story of one man's struggle to survive. Oscar-winner Adrien Brody plays a talented pianist who escapes the fate of the majority of Polish Jews - transportation to the concentration camps - and goes into hiding. His existence is like that of a hunted animal - always on the move, searching desperately for food and shelter. This is history at its most accessible, and emotional.
This film has a couple of uses of strong bad language and contains a holocaust theme.
