Synopsis

Things are getting desperate for Frodo and his fellowship of world-savers in this second film in director Peter Jackson's blockbuster trilogy. The plucky little hobbit and his best friend Sam are on a mission to throw the sinister One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom - but soon find themselves hindered by a twisted creature called Gollum who has a scheme of his own in mind. Meanwhile, forces gather from the race of elves, men and dwarves as the apocalyptic battle of Helms Deep awaits. A landmark in cinematic innovation and storytelling, The Two Towers is the second installment in one of the most thrilling box-office smashes of the 21st century.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
