Synopsis

This charming Scottish tale from Disney - based on a true story - shows why dogs really are man's best friend. Bobby is a Skye terrier who belongs to an old shepherd named Jock. However, tragedy strikes when Jock passes away and is buried in Greyfriars Kirkyard cemetery. Bobby stays loyal to his owner and visits his grave everyday. The graveyard's caretaker isn't too happy about it, but the local people take Bobby to their hearts. So when the authorities try to get rid of him, his new friends rally round to protect the faithful hound.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
