Synopsis

In this fresh version of the Cinderella story, our heroine lives under a spell of total obedience which makes things a bit tricky for her, especially when she gets an evil stepmother and stepsisters. But it doesn't seem to stop her from sticking up for the rights of the giants and ogres, who are blamed for everything in a setting that is a clever mixture of a standard fairytale location and a modern town.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
