Synopsis

The 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany was supposed to be a joyous spectacle. Instead, it was marred by great tragedy when a Palestinian terrorist group called Black September kidnapped nine Israeli athletes and held them hostage. Using compelling footage, as well as interviews with those involved, including Jamal Al Gashey, the only surviving terrorist, One Day in September explains how a celebration of sporting excellence turned into a day of horror.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
