When British boyband Take That burst onto the pop music scene in the early 1990s, they became a global sensation with millions of young fans. In this feelgood tribute to friendship and shared passions, the band’s songs become the soundtrack to the adventures of four lifelong fans of the fictional boyband ‘The Boys’. Rachel and her best friends are schoolgirls when they first attend a concert of their favourite pop group. Twenty-five years later, the once carefree adolescents have become estranged, caught up in life’s responsibilities and grown-up problems. But as with true fandom, true friendship never dies. When Rachel wins tickets to see The Boys in concert in Athens, Greece, during their big reunion tour, she gathers the old gang. Adapted from a hit stage musical, this joyful film celebrates the music and experiences that bring us together and give us the resilience to face the future.
