Synopsis

It’s the last day of autumn and all the woodland creatures are preparing for their annual race as winter closes in and the icy winds begin to blow. Using abandoned bike parts from around the woodland, the participants, which include a rabbit, a hedgehog and a big bear, build their vehicles and pedal towards the finish line. With many obstacles in the way, and not everything going according to plan, instead of competing as individuals they help each other reach both the finish line and their winter shelters. This endearing animation includes themes of teamwork and creativity and may be useful in discussions around treatment of the natural world.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
