This fantasy adventure primarily set in Ireland follows Artemis Fowl, an intelligent and skilled 12-year old who is the descendant of criminal masterminds. When his father mysteriously disappears, he seeks the help of his two servants, a dwarf and a fairy, to find him. Using an array of gadgets and ingenious technology Armetis discovers a hidden civilisation of fairies. Convinced they may be responsible for his father’s kidnapping he sets up a dangerous plan that risks starting a perilous war against the powerful fairies. A fast-paced and imaginative story adapted from the popular series of children’s books’, Artemis Fowl is a tale of growing up and the responsibilities that come with it.
