Lisa is the manager at Double Whammies, a self-proclaimed “sports bar with curves”, where the waitresses wear skimpy clothes and flirt with the customers. Her devotion to her job and caring demeanour towards her staff means she is well-respected and liked but, after opening up the bar one morning, she is faced with a host of problems; from a disrespectful owner to a new, inexperienced group of potential employees, Lisa’s eternal optimism is pushed to its very limits. A film which embraces female friendship, workplace hardship and the need for individuality, Support the Girls will especially resonate with anyone who has ever worked in the service industry.
