Synopsis

Despite suffering from tinnitus, Jackson Maine is an established singer playing to thousands of adoring fans in venues across the US. Setting out to find a local bar after his latest performance, he stumbles upon a young singer named Ally who wows him with her rendition of ‘La Vie en rose’. As the two become closer after spending time together, she accompanies him to one of his shows and joins him onstage to debut a duet of one of the songs she’s written. When the performance goes viral, Ally starts to become a star in her own right. But as her popularity and demand increases, Jackson’s struggle with his addiction to drugs and alcohol worsens, putting their relationship through tough times. The latest version of ‘A Star is Born’ is Bradley Cooper’s first as director, featuring a soundtrack composed of original songs.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
