Synopsis

Young adults Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow meet when he attempts to steal her mother’s car. Bored by her job as a waitress, she quickly takes to his dangerous charm. Embarking on a life of crime together, they begin with petty theft but quickly escalate to bank hold-ups and wielding loaded guns. Connecting with other unruly accomplices and gang members, the two put themselves further at risk of danger and capture. This doesn’t stop the wild pair, who attain a disturbing amount of pleasure and fun from their sprees, and they become more reckless as their notoriety grows, resulting in one of the most famous showdowns in film history. This classic neo-noir is based on a true story and is considered an essential title in New Hollywood, a key turning point in American cinema.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
