8-year-old Jonah is keen for his widowed Dad Sam to be happy and meet another woman. Innocently calling a late night radio show, Jonah tells the host about Sam who is then encouraged onto the phone to talk about his late wife. Heard across America he becomes known as ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ with his story peaking the interest of lots of women desperate to meet him. One of these women is Annie, a journalist based thousands of miles away in Baltimore who becomes obsessed with Sam’s story. Engaged to a man she’s not quite sure about Annie deliberates over whether Sam could be the one for her. A witty, warm-hearted comedy directed by legendary writer and director Nora Ephron, the film follows Sam and Annie, on different sides of the country, grapple with friends and family about what the future holds for them.
Romantic comedy in which Harry and Sally first detest each other, then have a long friendship before finally realising it may be something more.
