Synopsis

Scrat’s long-lasting pursuit of the elusive acorn propels him into outer space where he inadvertently sets off a chain reaction, resulting in several asteroids heading for a collision course with planet Earth. Quickly realising that asteroids have previously caused extinctions across species in the past, Buck and the rest of The Herd set out to find a way to stop it. Together they head towards the crash site of previous asteroids, arriving at a community named Geotopia, where they must convince the other animals of the impending danger facing them all.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
