Initially worshipped as a God, Apocalypse was the world’s first mutant. After waking from a slumber lasting thousands of years in the 1980s, he returns to an unfamiliar environment and a society which dissatisfies him greatly. Apocalypse devises a plan to create a devastating New World Order and is joined by a team of mutants including Magneto to make this dream a reality.
