Synopsis

19-year-old Jay is a Michigan college student who has recently entered a relationship with a boy named Hugh. After they sleep together for the first time, Hugh reveals to Jay that through the act he’s transmitted a deadly curse which he previously possessed. Embodied in an apparition that relentlessly stalks the victim, the curse appears in many forms in order to take the target unawares. Despite being the only person able to see this looming spirit, Jay’s friends rally around her supportively and attempt to rid her of this ever-present nightmare. Inspired by horror movies of the 1980s, It Follows is a critically-acclaimed horror which relies on suspense over shocks, featuring an offbeat synth soundtrack.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
