Synopsis

Have the tissues at the ready for this emotionally charged drama of dreams and loss, based on the young adult novel by Gayle Forman. Mia already faces a tough decision: whether to develop her passion and musical talent for the cello at prestigious New York school Juilliard or take a different path, remaining local so that she can stay with her more rebellious boyfriend Adam. But then a tragic car accident on a snowy Oregon road kills her family and leaves her in a coma between life and death – with the agonising choice of whether or not to hold on.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
