Synopsis

In this colourful sequel, Blu, Jewel and their kids leave their blissful domestic life in vibrant Rio De Janeiro for an exciting adventure to the Amazon rainforest. Once there, they encounter a host of new born-to-be-wild characters, including Jewel’s long-lost father, who is not too impressed with Blu’s housebound upbringing. As Blu tries to fit in, illegal loggers arrive and threaten to destroy the bird’s habitat, while the dastardly Nigel is in hot pursuit of the macaws with his own special plan of revenge. Full of energy and great musical numbers, this is as much a celebration of Brazil as it is a timely lesson in adapting to new environments and protecting endangered species and ecosystems.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
