Ray Harryhausen, the much-loved creator of sci-fi creatures and dinosaurs in classic films such as One Million Years BC and Jason and the Argonauts, was a pioneering stop-motion animator and special effects artist. Part of a two-disc collection, this second DVD features interviews with Harryhausen on his work, sketches and images from a variety of his films as well as tributes from well-known writers and directors including Tim Burton, Peter Jackson and James Cameron. Together with Disc 1, which shows Harryhausen's early fairytale animations and experiments, this collection reveals to what extent his work was and is a huge influence on many of the special affects and animated creatures we see in films today.
