Synopsis

In this pair of stories (see also: Doctor Who And The Daleks – Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.), the eccentric Doctor and his companions travel through space and time to do battle with the evil Daleks. The Doctor’s adventures were captivating children long before the BBC’s recent reworking, although this big screen version features a couple of changes from its television roots. Crucially, the Doctor is a human scientist and inventor whose second name is actually Who. Nonetheless, the film captures the humour and boundless imagination of the series, and the results are wholly entertaining.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
