A leading pioneer of British cinema, Robert W Paul was the first man to edit two scenes together, the first to make a British narrative film and was also among the first to shoot film in Spain, Portugal, Egypt and Sweden. This fascinating glimpse into Victorian society includes footage of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee procession, the 1896 Derby and frontline reporting from the Anglo-Boer War - a real piece of history.
