Synopsis

Ben Affleck's character, Doug MacRay, has only known a life of crime. Ashamed of his father, who is serving a life sentence in jail, his heart is no longer in it. Yet his best friend doesn't want to see him go. While Doug goes to AA meetings and dreams of escaping to Florida, he loses interest in being a master criminal and takes his eye of the ball. When a young woman called Claire is taken hostage during a bank raid, Doug doesn't deal with her - as instructed to by his cohorts in crime - but instead starts to date her. The Town is fast and furious, tense and taut with disciplined directing.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
