Synopsis

This spectacular big screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's blockbuster musical tells the story of Christine, a young singer haunted by the mysterious, musical genius who lurks in the wings of the Paris opera house she works at. The masked Phantom, who controls the opera house from its shadowy depths, brings Christine the starring roles she's always dreamed of. But when she falls for a young aristocrat, a doomed love triangle develops with tragic consequences.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
