Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello are four teenage brothers who live in the sewers of New York City with their father, sheltered from the human world…because they are mutant turtles with incredible ninja skills. Although they have each other, the youngsters crave a life in the city and acceptance from its people so, when they befriend a plucky young journalist named April O'Neil, things seem to be looking up. However, a mysterious crime syndicate begins to cause mayhem across the city and the turtles soon discover that they are made up of dangerous mutants who are out to wreak as much havoc as possible.
