Although they have each other, the youngsters crave a life in the city and acceptance from its people so, when they befriend a plucky young journalist named April O’Neil, things seem to be looking up. However, a mysterious crime syndicate begins to cause mayhem across the city and the turtles soon discover that they are made up of dangerous mutants who are out to wreak as much havoc as possible. This new adaptation of the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the first to cast actual teenagers in the main voice roles as well as adopting a unique animation style to tell its chaotic story of brotherly love and acceptance.
