We are delighted to offer a unique and educational screening event which explores Scots Language through Film. Our audience will enjoy a screening of Room on the Broom (in English) followed by a reading of the story in Scots by Scots educational specialist Laura Green. Education Scotland along with Laura Green will facilitate an engaging and interactive workshop to explore the Scots language and words used in the story.  

 A kind witch makes sure there's plenty of room on her broom for everyone in this wonderful animated adaptation of Julia Donaldson's much loved story. A little put out by the unusual gang of animals crowding his space, the witch's cat is not surprised when the top heavy broom breaks. Enter the fire-breathing dragon wanting witch and chips for his tea! The cat soon learns the real value of friendship as the gang bands together to save his witch pal.
