The Highway Rat (Scots Event) EDINBURGH

Into Film are delighted to offer a unique and educational screening event which explores Scots Language through Film. Our audience will enjoy a screening of The Highway Rat (in English) followed by a reading of the story in Scots by a special guest. Into Film and Education Scotland staff will facilitate a workshop to support review writing in Scots with prizes for the best reviews. 

Please note the event will start promptly at 10am, please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before.

 

Important Information:  

• This event is FREE, however, cancellation is required 3 days prior to the event. No shows will be at risk from being excluded from any future Into Film events and may be charged a £100 cancellation fee
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time 
• Recommended for learners age 7+ due to the educational content  there will be writing activities.
• Feel free to explore some review writing resources with your learners prior to the event https://www.intofilm.org/resources/108 
• You can also explore other Scots Language resources using other film titles available at Education Scotland  
• The event will be photographed/filmed. We will require a completed photo release form for your school group that lists the names of all pupils attending. These forms will be collected on your arrival at the event. Once you have booked your tickets a copy of the form will be emailed to you.
